Welcome to Morello Park Elementary

Morello Park Elementary is a 2012 CA Distinguished School.  Morello Park Elementary was built in 1993 and is a beautiful facility for our students. It sits on eleven acres and includes twenty one classrooms, a computer lab, a science room, and a library. We educate 540 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.  We welcome you to come visit our school and see first hand the great things happening at Morello Park Elementary.  

 
The entire staff at Morello is dedicated to helping all students reach their fullest potential. Our instructional program is driven by district and state content standards in all subject matter and grade levels.  We work together as a professional learning community; ensuring that all students learn. Teachers collaborate with one another, focusing on what is most essential for all students to know and master.  Additionally, our staff will continue to analyze data of student work, test scores, and instructional strategies to create the greatest educational experience possible for your student. We utilize technology in the classroom, and every classroom in grades K-5 have SmartBoards and student computers.
 
The parent community of Morello Park is an essential contributor to our success. We have excellent attendance rates, and students are rarely tardy to school. Parents are visible on campus on a daily basis, working in classrooms, tutoring students in our SCORE reading program, helping in the computer lab, or volunteering in the office.   Our PTA operates an annual budget of approximately $185,000. These funds provide a number of academic programs as well as many community events. Our students benefit tremendously  from the efforts of our PTA.

Creating a positive climate for academic growth is a responsibility shared by all members of our school community. Having families and students aware of the academic, procedural, and behavioral expectations at Morello Park is an important element in maintaining our positive academic environment.  The Morello Park  staff is committed to maintaining a safe and positive environment for our students to grow.
